Althea N. Snyder, 87 years, of Allentown, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in South Whitehall Twp. Born in Kempton, she was the daughter of Earl and Elsie (Reinert) Shoemaker. She was the co-owner of the Golden Key Hotel from 1965 to 1979. After that Althea was a cook at the Fogelsville Fire Co. for 21 years and the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club for 5 years retiring in 2005.

Survivors : son, Terry L. and wife Ruthann of New Tripoli, brother, Sterling Shoemaker and his wife Bernice of Topton, granddaughter, Michelle Reichard of Topton, great grandchildren Tyler and Lucas Reichard, 3 step grandchildren, numerous step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her companion, Sterling Fritzinger.

Services : 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 23 at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with the Rev. Michael Hothouse officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.
