Dr. Barbara S. Galloway, age 69, formerly of Orefield, passed away on Saturday, January 6 at the Bristol House Memory Care in Warrington, PA. She was the loving wife of William H. Galloway, with whom she celebrated 23 years of marriage in June.  Born in Seneca, New York, she was a daughter of the late Winfield, III and Jeanne (Evans) Parsons.  Before retiring, Barbara was a school principal for 22 years at Pennfield Middle School in the North Penn School District.
Barbara received her Bachelors of Arts from University of Kutztown, her Masters of Education from Lehigh University and her Doctorate Ed.D  from Lehigh University. Barbara loved arts and crafts and when she wasn't painting a floral watercolor, she was sewing a Happy Bag for one of her customers. Barbara loved to travel to exotic locations over the years. Exploring Medieval castles, Stonehenge and the English countryside searching for her roots was an adventure she cherished. Barbara was a dedicated mother and grandmother who adored her two grandchildren Maximus and Sofia.
Survivors:  husband, William; daughter: Jillian Jenkins (Sean) of Orefield; son: Christopher Callisto (Khristin) of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren: Maximus and Sofia Jenkins; brother: Stephen Parsons of Clifton, NJ; and sister: Rev. Rebecca Cancelleire of Allentown.
