Bernice B. Burkhardt (nee Hite) 85 years, of Fogelsville, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. She was the wife of Robert E.A. Burkhardt. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary in October. Born in Allentown on June 29, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Edna (Green) Hite.

She worked at the former Allen Laundry in Allentown as a presser. Bernice was a member of Hope Community Church in Orefield.

Survivors : husband; son, Alan D. and his wife Diane of Allentown; grandson, Colton M. and step-grandson, Gregory T. Meilinger; brothers, Raymond, Jr. and his wife Amelia and Robert and his wife Dorothy both of Germansville, James and his wife Monica and Clarence both of Allentown; sister, Nancy wife of Mike Zahradnik of Allentown; nieces and nephews; and Bernice's beloved cat, Eddie.

Services : Memorial Service, 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28 at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville with the Rev. Ken Kalisz officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Online condolences may be offered at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
