Betty Jane Parry, 89 years, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at her home in New Tripoli.  Born in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Emily (Wolfe) Wendel.

Betty was a graduate of Hazelton High School and was a PAL swimming instructor for many years.  Betty enjoyed gardening, baking, and sewing.  She also loved her Church and enjoyed lending a helping hand.  She loved music and fostered the love of music in her children and grandchildren.  Betty was happiest being surrounded by her loving family.

Preceding her in death were her husband George Parry in 2002, her twin sister Dorothy Eroh in 2017, her brother Robert Wendel in 1984, and her daughter Jayne Ellen Parry in 1962.

Survivors : She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Cannon and her husband John of Lewes, DE, Gail Parry of New Tripoli, and Judith Brown and her husband John of Westborough, MA; and two granddaughters, Emily and Jennifer Brown of Westborough, MA. Services : Memorial Service, 11:00 AM on Saturday December 2 at First Presbyterian Church, 3231 Tilghman St., Allentown. Visitation will take place from 10:30 to 11:00 AM.
