Bruce Chattin, 86, of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Born on January 9, 1932 in Morristown, New Jersey, Bruce was the son of the late Laurie and Catherine (Cuthbertson) Chattin. Bruce and his family moved to Weisenberg Township in 1945, and he graduated from Parkland High School in 1950. Bruce and his twin brother Kent helped to manage the sizable family dairy farm which operated for many years. The farm also produced a variety of crops, and raised livestock including horses, goats and sheep. The farm was the hub of many family activities including 73 consecutive years of family reunions. Bruce loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter, and enjoyed watching professional sports (especially Philadelphia Phillies baseball and Eagles football). Bruce had a passion for racing pigeons and was a past President of the Northampton Racing Pigeon Club. He successfully completed Prof. Berry's Course in Horsemanship and he managed all the horses on the farm. He was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Pennsylvania Game Commission in 1983 for participation in the Cooperative Farm Game Program. Bruce was affectionately known as the "Valley Counselor" and he was always willing to provide his expert advice to family, friends, and neighbors regarding any problem or topic. He will be missed dearly.

Survivors: Bruce is survived by brother, Donald Chattin Sr. (wife Marie) of Topton, Pennsylvania; sister, Sandra Monroe (husband Richard) of Littleton, New Hampshire; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many caring friends and neighbors. Bruce is predeceased by sibling brothers, Laurie, Richard, twin brother Kent, and sister Barbara (Fuller).
