Carl E. Dengler, 81 years, of Mertztown, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017 at home.  He was the husband of Edna (Debus) Dengler for 62 years, this past July.  Born in Lowhill Twp. he was a son of the late Frank and Edna (Wanamaker) Dengler.

Carl was a road maintenance worker in Lowhill Twp. for 18 years.  He was also a farmer for many years in the Lehigh Valley and worked for the former Freeman's Dairy for 34 years.  Carl was a member of the New Tripoli and Topton Fire Companies.  He was a member of Chestnut Hill Church in Coopersburg.

Survivors: wife Edna, sons, Kenneth R. and wife Sandra of Kempton, Ralph C. and wife Rhonda of New Tripoli, and Ronald J. and wife Tedra of Kutztown; daughters, Bonnie M. Miller and husband Michael of Mertztown and Brenda F. Shoemaker and husband Richard of Old Zionsville, brothers, Roy and wife Dolores of Emerald and Kenneth and wife Ruth of Bath, sister Verna Beers of New Tripoli, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers, Clyde and Frank, and a grandson, Michael Miller, Jr.

Services: 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 28, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.  Visitation will be on Thursday, October 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be in Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery in Coopersburg.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com .
