Catherine M. Gery, age 91, formerly of Emmaus, passed away at the Lutheran Home at Topton on Sunday, May 12, 2024. She was the loving wife of William P. Gery, with whom she would have celebrated 69 years of marriage on May 14th. Born in Upper Macungie Twp., she was the daughter of the late Fred W. and Margaret E.S. (Roth) Leiby.

She enjoyed working as a bank teller at Fogelsville National Bank, and became head teller of the Wescosville branch. She ended her banking career at Merchants Bank to become a full-time homemaker. Later in life, she went back to work and retired from Dun & Bradstreet.

She was a lifetime member of the Rainbow Girls and member of the Order of the Amaranth. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing and was a lifelong member of the St. John's choir and an officer of the Ladies Aid. She served as the church treasurer for many years.

Survivors: with her husband, a daughter: Kristin Hlavinka, husband Mark of Macungie; grandson: Alex; nieces: Faye Casciano and Nanette Leiby. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Gery and brother, Sterling Leiby.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 28 in St. John's Lutheran Church, 1028 Church St., Fogelsville, with a visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment in Ziegels Church Cemetery.
