Charles J. Kahler, age 90, of Cabot, AR, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (McGinley) Kahler. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Charles and Rose (Lipovsky) Kahler. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown. Before retiring, he was a freight inspector for Associated Transport, Mushroom Trucking and St. Johnsbury trucking companies. He honorably served in the Army from 1948-1952. Charles was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Orefield and was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors: son, Donald C. Kahler and his wife Gina, with whom he resided in Cabot, AR; daughter, Kathleen Hirschmann and her husband Joseph of Aliquippa; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara Gasper.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, October 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, PA 18069. Visitation at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Allentown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
