Chester F. Yeakel, Jr, 89 years, of Fogelsville, passed away on Monday, August 19th 2024 surrounded by family. He was the widower of Martha B. (Tognoli) Yeakel. Born in Vera Cruz PA, he was the son of the late Chester F. Yeakel, Sr. and Anna (Godusky) Yeakel. He was an active member of Old Zionsville UCC. He was a life member of the Cetronia Ambulance Corps, Station 62. He volunteered for events at the Good Will Fire Co. No. 1 of Trexlertown, Station 25. He retired as a heavy diesel mechanic from William F. Deibert, GMC Trucks, Inc. Chester enjoyed his pastimes of playing banjo, tinkering with engines, and spending time with family and friends. Chester was a man who was outgoing and did all he could to help those around him.

Survivors: Son, Chester F. Yeakel III (Barbara) of Fogelsville; brother, Richard M. Yeakel of Allentown; grandchildren, Jessica L. Boushell (Jayson) of New Tripoli, Jason N. Yeakel (Lauren) of Fogelsville, Joseph A. Yeakel (Tonya) of Fogelsville, and Kirstin A. Towson (Joshua) of Stewartstown; 9 great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by brothers, Arthur, Charles, and Howard.

Services: A funeral service will take place at 11AM on Thursday, August 29th at Old Zionsville UCC, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville. There will be visitation from 10AM-11AM at the church.
