Christina May (Carpenter) Gunderson, 70 years, of Topton, formerly of Oakfield, NY passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospice House, in Bethlehem. She was the widow of Thomas Gunderson. Born in Batavia, NY she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Inez (Webster) Carpenter.

She was a medical secretary for various offices for many years and was an EMT in Oakfield, NY for 24 years.

Survivors :  Sons, Mark (Crystal) Birch of Macungie, PA and Norman (Tammi) Birch of Oakfield, daughter, Beth (Martin) Synakowski of Chesapeake, VA, the children's father, Willis Birch, brothers, James Carpenter of Concord, NC and Scott Carpenter of Hiram, GA, sisters, Linda Hazel of West Barre, NY and Nancy Cabrera of North Port, FL, grandchildren, Brandon Birch, Kristen Ace, and Dawn Synakowski, great granddaughter, Keigan Ace, nieces and nephews.
