Christopher J. Yocum, 49 years, of Boyertown, formerly of New Tripoli, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017. He was the fiancé of Dena M. Long. Born in Allentown, he was the son of C. John and Dianne (Mantz) Yocum of New Tripoli.

He was a truck driver for JBL Transport in New Tripoli for 3 years. Prior to that he worked for AC Miller Concrete in Spring City, Agliano Brothers Trucking, Inc. in Barto, and was also a self-employed truck driver. Chris was a life member of the Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club and was a member of the A.J. Bird Memorial VFW Home Assoc.

Survivors :  Parents, John and Diane Yocum, fiancé Dena and her daughter Lily Purcell, beloved sister, Sherri McGimpsey and husband Keith of New Tripoli, nieces, Amanda and Alissa, and daughter Laura of North Carolina.
