Clara R. Geiger, 102, formerly of Orefield, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown. She was a daughter of the late Monroe and Edna (Snyder) Werley. A lifelong resident of the Lehigh Valley and a native of Lowhill Township, Clara was one of seven siblings and lived a life marked by faith, family, hard work, and a genuine love for others.

Clara was a talented seamstress and entrepreneur. In 1954, she co-founded C&H Gown Company in Allentown, where she created choir gowns for many local churches and organizations. She operated the business for 40 years before retiring in 1994. Her craftsmanship and dedication touched countless members of the local community.

Clara was married to her beloved husband, Ralph Geiger, for nearly 74 years before his passing. Later in life, she joined Ralph in his love of bowling. She was a member of the Lehigh Valley Active Bowlers for 20 years before joining the Clubhouse 55 League at Allentown’s Rose Bowl, where she continued bowling well into her late 90s.

A faithful servant of God, Clara was a lifelong member of Morgenland Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. She also found great joy in cooking and baking for her family and friends, always taking pleasure in bringing people together around a table.

Above all, Clara cherished her family. She had a wonderful love of life and an ability to make those around her feel welcome and loved. Her heartwarming laughter, kind spirit, and genuine interest in others created memories that will be treasured by her family and friends for generations to come.

Clara is survived by her sons, Sherwood Geiger and his wife, Marge, of Alpharetta, GA, and Sterling Geiger of Whitehall, PA; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister-in-law: Myrtle Horning of Laurys Station.

Her 102 years were filled with faith, family, friendship, laughter, and love. She will be deeply missed, but the many lives she touched and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, October 2 in Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the Church. Interment, church cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
