Dale Roth, age 83, of Erie, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was born in Allentown, PA on April 5, 1939, to the late Earl and Pauline Roth.

Dale started his architectural career through an apprenticeship in 1959, qualified and passed the national architect's registration examination (NCARB) in 1968, receiving Pennsylvania Architects Registration.  He obtained additional registrations in New Jersey, West Virginia, Ohio, Arizona, New York, and South Carolina. He worked with and founded many companies in his career, Brown Zajacek & Roth Architects - Senior Partner; D. Roth Partnership P.C. Architects & Planners; Roth Marz Partnership P.C. Architects & Planners; and Roth LLC Architect & Planners.

Dale was very active in the community, serving as a member in many organizations, including Photovoltaic Advisory Board U.S. Dept. of Energy, PA Dept. of General Services Professional Selection Committee (Chairman 1998), Foundation Board Member Lehigh Carbon Community College, Erie Western PA Port Authority, and Erie Regional Airport Authority (Chairman 2006-2007).

He was honored with awards for his dedication to the community, Business Professional of the Year - W. Allentown Rotary, Collegiate Award of Distinction - Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Additionally, Dale instituted community giving into his firms practice in 1995. He was very generous with volunteering his time and significant charitable donations, providing support to more than 30 organizations.

Dale is survived by his wife, PJ Strait; children, Kim Roth of Allentown, Faith Brown (Russ) of Waynesboro, and Marci Reinert (Scott) of New Tripoli; 3 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.  In addition to his parents, Dale is predeceased by his wife, Ruth Roth, and brother, Donald Roth.
