Dorothy M. (Schmidt) Williams, 72 years, of Birdsboro, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading. She was the widow of James D. Williams.  Born in the Bronx, NY she was the daughter of the late Dorothy M. Schmidt.

She graduated with top honors from Hagerstown Community College as a registered nurse and worked for Lutheran Home Care and the Chambersburg Hospital.  Dorothy was a member of the Katahdin Ladies Club of Maine, where she was the past treasurer.

Survivors: daughter, Julie Lara and husband Abel with whom she resided, son, James and wife Gabi of Lancaster, sister, Georgia Beichler and husband Raymond of Fallston, MD, grandchildren, Jessica and Abel D. Lara, Pierce Williams, and Dinah Moyer; great grandchildren, Nathaniel Lara and Neil Moyer, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Patricia Schmidt.

Services: 12:00 PM, Saturday, October 21, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, PA.  Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Private interment. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com .
