Earl H. Horning, 88 years, of Laurys Station, formerly of Cetronia, went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Myrtle M. (Geiger) Horning for 67 years last March. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Henry H. and Amanda H. (Yenser) Horning.
He was a lifelong diesel mechanic for the former International Harvester and the former Metal Welding and Supply Co. Earl was a member of the Seipstown Grange #1657 where he served as master for many years, was on the executive committee, and a member of their square dance team. Earl was a member and past master of Lehigh-Northampton Pomona Grange #68. He was a member of Morgenland Church, in Orefield, where he sang on the choir, served on Church Council, was past treasurer of the Sunday school, and served on the cemetery board. Earl honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars.
Survivors: Wife, Myrtle, daughter, Debra L. Hardiman and husband Terry of Laurys Station, grandchildren, Kristin Hardiman-Moussa and husband Louay of Bethlehem, Kimberly Hardiman of Lancaster, Kaitlin Hardiman and fiancé Alexander Smith of New York City, and Kelsey of Laurys Station, great grandchild, Morgan Moussa, sister Betty Horning of Kutztown, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Donald and Robert and a grandson, Terry Hardiman, Jr.
Services: 12:30 PM on Monday, November 26, at Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Rd., Orefield. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 25, from 2:30 to 4:00 PM at Keller Funeral Homes, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and Monday, from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Church. Interment, Morgenland Union Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com .
