Eleanor E. Brown, 78 years, of Allentown, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem. She was the widow of the Rev. Donald L. Brown. Born in McClure, PA, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Charles E. and Blanche (Lichtenwalner) Brodell.

She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield, where her late husband had been Associate Pastor from 1984-1996. Eleanor served on the NEPA Synod ELCA World Hunger Appeal Team. She was also a board member of the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg for many years.

Survivors: Sons; The Rev. David L. and wife Karen of Allentown, Philip J. and wife Sharri of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Kenneth C. with whom she resided; Daughter, Barbara J. wife of Deven Knoll of Northampton; Sister, Margaret L. wife of Lester Baldauff of Phoenix, AZ; Grandchildren; Jeremiah, Aubrey, Lexie, Meg, and Austin; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother John A. Brodell.

Services: 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 16, at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Rd., Orefield, with the Rev. Jerel Gade officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 A.M. at the Church.
