Elsie M. Gruber, 88 years, of Orefield, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at Mosser Nursing Home in Trexlertown.  She was the wife of George S. Gruber for 69 years yesterday.  Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Ida (Schafer) Snyder.

She was a farmer in the New Tripoli area for more than 40 years. Elsie loved gardening, baking and cooking for her family. She enjoyed all the daily functions of operating a successful dairy farm.

Survivors: sons: Clarence G. and wife Susan of Allentown, Allen C. and wife Ruth of Slatington, Roy R. and wife Linda of Auburn, PA, Dale R. and wife Cheryl of New Tripoli, and Marvin L. and wife Karen of New Tripoli, daughter, Shirley E. wife of Harry Sohon of Shoemakersville, brothers-in-law, Ralph Gruber and Raymond Dengler, sisters-in-law, Betty and Ruth Snyder, 16 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a daughter Carolyn E. Bauscher, a grandson, Andrew G. Gruber, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Services: 11 A.M. Friday, February 13, at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Church Rd., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Raymond J.
