Floyd "Honey"
Moyer
Dec 28, 1939 — Feb 28, 2023
Floyd "Honey" Moyer, 83 years, of Ballston Lake, NY passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Born in Seipstown, he was the son of the late Floyd Sr., and Mary (Gehringer) Moyer. He was a proud graduate of Muhlenberg College and member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. He later became the successful Superintendent of Marketing at the Aetna in Albany, NY for over 30 years.
Floyd was a gentle man who always saw the glass half-full. He had an incredible inner-strength. Despite his long-term medical and physical challenges, he was driven to survive purely by his love and dedication for his family. Still, he was always a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen, a mentor to all, and he never complained. These are only some of the many qualities that made Floyd the fantastic human that he was. He will be remembered by his witty humor, as well as his indomitable spirit and character that never ceased to bring a smile and good tidings to anyone who had the pleasure of being in his presence.
Floyd was proud of his two daughters amongst many others, as well as his green eyes "Guess what my favorite color is?! *opens eyes wide* Floyd was an avid collector, accumulating many valuables (as his family is graciously aware) that he treasured dearly. He couldn't wait to give his favorites as a gift for the next celebration. He always looked forward to visiting his Pennsylvania Family and old stomping grounds, spending quality time with his family, listening to Pennsylvania Polka classics, watching old cowboy films (volume @ 55+), reflecting on the old days and sharing stories, satisfying his exquisite sweet tooth, and driving his favorite Cadillacs. Floyd loved his PA Dutch sayings, a couple of his favorites, "You aint much, if you aint Dutch!" and "Aye sky dri, East Macungie High, Ring bologna ring bologna aye aye aye!" The impact this wonderful man has had on those in his circle will live on for generations. Rest in peace, "Onward ever, backward never"....Fly 1
