Obituary

Forrest G.B. Smith, 93 years, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at the Lutheran Home at Topton.  He was the husband of Carolyn S.E. (Huseman) Smith for 67 years last September.  Born in Weisenberg Twp. he was the son of the late Clarence and Minnie (Leiby) Smith.

He performed electrical maintenance for the former Lehigh Portland Cement Co. in Fogelsville for 25 years and the former Red Cheek in Fleetwood for 25 years. Forrest honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII.  He was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church in Breinigsville where he served on the Cemetery Committee for 50 years.

Survivors :  wife, Carolyn, son, Dale F. and wife Karen of Mohrsville, daughters, Diane C. wife of Art Acker of Breinigsville, Donna L. Finney of Vallejo, CA, and Debbie A. Witmer of Oregon; sister, Mae Bittner of Kempton, 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Phillips and Anna Mae Gruber.

Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 31 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Rd., Breinigsville, with the Rev. Andy Meckstroth officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the Church.  Interment, Church Cemetery.  Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com
