Frederick A. "Fred" Burns, 87 years of South Whitehall Township passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Cedarbrook, Allentown. Born June 8, 1938, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Fred and Grace (Sirgenson) Burns. Fred was the devoted husband of Cathy Burns who passed away in 2022. He honorably served in the US Navy aboard the USS Thrasher. Fred spent most of his life in the North Penn area before moving to the Lehigh Valley in 2020.

He is survived by a daughter Barbie (Matt) Vergamini, and three sons: Thomas, Robert and Richard Burns. He was predeceased by a daughter, Kathy. Fred was the grandfather of Emma and Sophia Vergamini, Logan, Derik, Lauren and Brianna Burns and several great-grandchildren. Fred is survived by his sister Barbara (James) McCann of Palm Harbor, Florida and family. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
