George S. Barkman, 81, of Breinigsville, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021 at home. Born in Abington, PA, he was son of the late George S. and H. Louise (McDonough) Barkman, and husband of Madeline M. (Buckley) Barkman for 59 years last August.

George was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  His love of books, music, and sports was legendary and on full display. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports and music, especially when they involved state championships and John Philip Sousa. George graduated from Columbia Union College and the University of Baltimore Law School.  He worked at INA/Cigna for 30 years as an environmental claims executive.

Survivors: wife, Madeline, children, Becky A. Barkman of Chicago, Jeanne M. Daubert (Tim) of Canton, CT, and Scott Barkman (Kiva) of Sebastopol, CA; grandchildren, Devon and Brett Daubert, Forest and Journey Giulietti, and G. Spencer Barkman. George was predeceased by his brother, Dennis.

Services: Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 4:00 on Sunday, April 11 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville.  Face masks will be required, and social distancing will occur.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com .
