Gertrud "Trudel" Knerr, beloved wife and mother, 75 years, of Orefield, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017 at home after a heroic fight with cancer. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering and will remain an inspiration to us all. Her beautiful smile will continue to warm our hearts. She was the wife of Reinhard H. Knerr for 48 years this past June. Born in Nagold, Germany she was a daughter of the late Oskar and Elisabeth (Teufel) Weiss. Trudel was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield.

: Husband, Reinhard H.; Sons, Reinhard M. and wife Kim of Paducah, KY, Christoph and wife Kara of Albuquerque, NM, Matthias and wife Camas of Madison, NJ, and Peter and wife Mary of Charlottesville, VA; sisters, Lilli wife of Günter Bareiss of Germany and Ursula Weiss of Germany; 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Hannah, Andrew. Sam, Lucy, and Eli.
Services:
11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 19 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 18 from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
