Gladys Irene Hilbert, born Gladys Irene George on September 10, 1937, in Allentown, PA, passed away on May 30, 2024, under hospice care at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Gladys and her husband were members of Calvary Baptist Church in Englewood, Florida. She loved her Church and was very strong in her faith. Gladys was a very supportive Navy wife for 23 years, standing by her husband through his military service. She enjoyed walking on the beach and collecting shells.  Gladys was a beloved wife and mother who would do anything for her family.
Gladys is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alfred Hilbert, her daughter Sherry Schmidt, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Grant and Beatrice (Pierce) George, her brothers Leroy, Delnore, Elwood, her sister Marietta, and her son Shawn.  May she rest in peace.

Services:  11 AM Friday, June 7 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville with a visitation from 10 to 11 AM. Interment, Laurel Cemetery in Whitehall. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
