Gladys Naomi Miller, 83 years, of Niles, IL passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014. Born in Lynnville, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Samuel and Annie Minerva (Werner) Miller. Her parents ran the Lynnville Country Grocery Store for 41 years. Her grandparents were the late Jonathan and Lydia (Smith) Werner and Samuel and Hettie (Billig) Miller. Gladys lived in Kistler Valley until she moved to Chicago in 1952.

She was a 1948 graduate of Slatington High School and a 1951 graduate of the Allentown General Hospital School of Nursing.She worked for Dr. Harold Laker for 3-4 years until her retirement in 1992. Prior to this, she had been employed at Bethesda Hospital, Chicago, IL for 22 ½ years. She was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran (Red) Church in Kempton and attended Niles Community Church in Illinois. Gladys was a member of Alumnae Association of Allentown Hospital.

Survivors: Close friends; Greta Barron of Chicago, IL and Ivan and Marlene Kovac of Mt. Prospect, IL.

Services: 1 PM, April 14 at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc. 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1 PM. Interment will be at Jerusalem Union Red Church Cemetery in Kempton.
