Gladys Schoch, 79 years, of Orefield, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at The Willow in Macungie.  She was the widow of Marsby R. Schoch, Sr.  Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late William and Muriel (Nichols) Richards.

She was employed as a patient aide at the White Haven Center for 20 years before retiring in 2002.  Gladys was a kind soul who never had a bad word for anyone.  She was a natural caregiver and it was always apparent to everyone she knew. Her grandchildren describe her as the sweetest woman who ever lived.

Survivors: daughter, Barbara Filipovits and companion James Bukoski of Orefield, sons, Marsby Schoch, Jr. and wife Christine of Hegins, Charles Schoch and wife Venice of Ashburn, VA, brothers, William Richards and wife Roberta of Whitehall, Hiram Richards and wife Marilyn of Lancaster, Donald Richards and wife Elizabeth of Macungie, and George Richards of Papillion, NE, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Richards of Lancaster, 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by daughters, Cheryl Neikam, Wendy Schoch, and Deborah Brothers, brother, Edgar Richards, and sister, Muriel Deritis.

Services: Visitation will take place from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 25 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.  Private interment. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
