Obituary

Heaven's choir needed a new angel, so Gloria Knerr answered the call on Saturday, February 15, 2025, as she passed from this Earth onto her heavenly home, surrounded by her loved ones at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

She was the daughter of the late Morgan & Erma Rohrbach and attended Emmaus High School. She worked at the Saucony Shoe Factory in Macungie, where she met her true love, Warren Knerr, her surviving spouse. Together they shared 65 years of marriage. Gloria was a member of St. Paul's UCC in Trexlertown.

Gloria was a talented seamstress, making each of her daughters' wedding gowns and countless Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. Until her later years when macular degeneration affected her vision, she would always answer the call for mending from friends and family.

She felt her greatest job was raising her four children. She is survived by her daughters, Sallie (Phil) Cremer and Marcie (Russ) Purinton; her sons, Harry (Sherry) and Larry (Sudz). She was the sister of Woody (Fran) Rohrbach of Emmaus, Elwood Rohrbach of Macungie and Joanne Stine of Arizona as well as six grandchildren, three great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers: Paul, twins Floyd and Loyd, Gerald and Linwood Rohrbach; sisters: Joyce Measler and Fern Rupert; granddaughter, Laura Cremer and great granddaughter, Blayze Ember.

Her family would like to thank the amazing staff at Fresenius Medical Care in Fogelsville for their compassion and dedication to her treatment.
