Gloria M. Nagle, 81 years, of New Tripoli, passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Phoebe Home in Allentown. She was the wife of Robert A. Nagle for 60 years last December. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Wilbur and Verna Yeager.
Gloria was a graduate of Allentown High School and L.C.C.C., where she was installed in the Alumni Hall of Fame. She worked for Western Electric and after becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse she worked at Sacred Heart Hospital. Gloria volunteered on a medical trip to Mexico with First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. She was a founding member of the Auxiliary of the former Lehigh Manor, now Westminster Village. Gloria was a Life Member of Phoebe Home Auxiliary, where she served as Hospitality Chairman and Secretary, as well as volunteered there. She was a life member of the Lynn Township Historical Society and the Recreation Advisory Board. As a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in New Tripoli Gloria was the pianist for the Women's Group, as well as past president, a member of the Pre-school Board, the Evangelism Committee, the Quilting group, and Lay Committee for Student Pastors. She was a member of the Parkland Garden Club where she served as corresponding, recording, and assistant secretary. Gloria enjoyed gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors:
Husband, sons; Keith A. and wife Tina Marie and Scott A. and wife Sheila, both of New Tripoli, and Mark A. and wife Michele of Newark, DE, grandchildren; Christine, Samantha, Brad, Trisha, Ryan, and Erik, brothers; Wilbur, Jr. and Robert. She was predeceased by a son, Wayne A., brother, Tilghman, and sisters, Jean Parks and Lois Ewing.
Services:
Memorial Service, 11 A.M. Monday, August 18 at Ebenezer U.C.C., 7293 Decatur St., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Kevin E. Fruchtl officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:45 AM in the Church.
