Grace I. Snyder, 94 years, formerly of New Tripoli, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, December 9, 2016 at Country Meadows in Allentown. She was the widow of Daniel N. Snyder. Born in New Tripoli she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Cora (Ulrich) Hunsicker.

Grace devoted her life to her family. She was a focused and organized worker in the fields, the garden, and the home. She enjoyed words, writing, and reciting poems, and had a PA German saying for every occasion. She and her husband were farmers for 33 years, 5 years in Albany Twp. and 29 years in Lynn Twp. Grace also worked at Blose's Market in New Tripoli and at Northwestern Lehigh Elementary School in the cafeteria. She was a member of the Northwestern Ambulance Corp., the Goodwill Fire Co. in Germansville, a life member of the New Tripoli Fire Co., and a charter member of the Lynn Heidelberg Historical Society. Grace was the past recording Secretary for the Albany Twp. Area Senior Citizens and was also a life member of the Phoebe Home Auxiliary. PA German was her first language and she was very interested in preserving the language, was a member of the Amerikanisch-Deutsche Union, and was known as Gracie Allen on the WBYN Radio show "Wunnerfitz Schtunn". As a past member of Ebenezer U.C.C., Grace served on the Consistory, taught Sunday School, served as past Secretary of the Women of the Church, and was a Moments of Concern Leader for 21 years. She was a member of Living Stone Fellowship in New Tripoli.

Survivors : Children: Brenda J. Burkhart of Lenhartsville, Brian L. and wife Bonnie of New Tripoli, Patricia A. Christ and husband Daniel of Kempton, Gary D. of New Tripoli, and Rita K. Snyder and husband Dennis McHugh of Whitehall; grandchildren: Dean, Betty, Tina, Trisha, Holly, Timothy, Annie, Laura, Brett, and Josh, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren with 1 on the way. She was predeceased by a son in law, David Burkhart, daughter in law Susan Snyder, granddaughter, Lisa Gaye, great granddaughter, Grace; siblings: Salome Walker, Mildred Zoet, Herman Hunsicker, Ella Guenther, and William Hunsicker.

Services : 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 15, at Living Stone Fellowship, 6925 Flint Hill Rd., New Tripoli, with Pastor Jean Masiko officiating. Visitation from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
