Harold R. Gehringer, 87 years, of Kutztown. passed away April 11, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Mildred E.L. (Wessner) Gehringer for 68 years last August. Born in Weisenberg Twp., he was a son of the late Robert and Lillian (Held) Gehringer. He was a farmer all his life in Weisenberg Twp and was a truck driver for the former Wessner's Grains in Kutztown for 30 years. Harold was a member of Ziegels Lutheran Church in Breinigsville where he served for 16 years on Church Council. For 55 years, he was a member of the Seipstown Grange where he served as an officer on the board. Harold's heart has always been in farming, and he was dedicated to the preservation and conservation of farmland, receiving the Lehigh County Conservation Farmer Award in 2001.

Survivors: wife, Mildred, son, Kenneth H. and wife Diane of Kutztown, foster daughter, Brenda Isamoyer of Kutztown, grandchildren, Wyatt J. Gehringer and wife Leah, Cyrus M. Gehringer and wife Jenny, Charles Isamoyer and wife Devin; great grandchildren, Ashtyn and Wade Gehringer, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Marvin and sister Helen Geist.

Services: 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 18, at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Rd., Breinigsville with the Rev. Andrew Meckstroth officiating.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 17 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and Wednesday, 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Church.
