Obituary

Harold G. Hoppes, 85 years of Germansville, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at home. He was the husband of Elaine (Herber) Hoppes for 58 years this past April. Born in Windsor Twp, he was the son of the late Morris and Amanda (Bower) Hoppes.

He was a builder and enjoyed remodeling, as well as a farmer. He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli, where he was active on various committees. Harold was past President of the Germansville Fire Co where he volunteered in the kitchen for over 30 years, was President of the Central Grange #1650 of Germansville and a member of the Lehigh-Northampton Pomona Grange. He was a member of the Lehigh County Conservation District where he was Associate Director for many years.

Survivors: wife Elaine, children, Sarah Kline (Brett) of Fleetwood and Glen Hoppes (Daniela) of Germany, siblings, LeRoy Hoppes of Mohrsville, Roy Hoppes (Geraldine) of Centerport and Elsie Kauffman of Ephrata; grandchildren, Lavinia Hoppes and Chase Kline, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Harry Hoppes.

The Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM on Monday, October 13 at Weisenberg Lutheran Church, 7645 Weisenberg Lutheran Church Rd, New Tripoli with a visitation from 10 to 11 AM in the Church. Interment, Church Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville. Online condolences may be offered at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
