Herman A. Ginder, 85 years, of Macungie, formerly of Allentown, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit in Allentown. He was the widower of Jane F. (Roessler) Ginder. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur and Esther (Bowman) Ginder.
He was a carpenter all of his life and worked for Butz Construction Co. for many years where he was a Foreman. Herman was a member of the Carpenter Union #600. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during WWII. Herman then went on to the Naval Academy from 1947-1950.
Survivors: Daughter in law, Debra K. (Trumbauer) Ginder of New Smithville, brother, Mark of Ijamsville, MD, grandchildren; Jason A. of Avon, N.C., Stephanie A. of Fredericksburg, VA, and Kyle J. of New Smithville, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son John A. and brother William.
Services: 11 A.M, Friday, February 15, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with the Rev. Candi Cain-Borgman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Interment, Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.
