Howard W. Host, age 93, of Allentown, passed away early Friday, November 9, 2018 at Valley Manor Nursing Center in Coopersburg. He was the husband of Miriam (Bower) Host, with whom he would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on December 24. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Howard H. and Helen (Kromer) Host. He was a 1943 graduate of Liberty High School. Howard honorably served with the US Navy 7th Fleet during World War II. He worked as an electrician for the former Kraft Foods Manufacturing Plant until his retirement. Prior to that, he was a sports broadcaster for WSAN in Allentown for many years.

Survivors: sons, Dale H. Host and wife Nadine of Lenhartsville and Dave W. Host of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren Shelley, Dale and Kim; great-granddaughters Briana, Natalie and Cassandra; sister Shirley Ulrich of Allentown; nieces and cousins.
