Howard R. Truitt, 62 years, of Mertztown, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. Born in Dover, DE he was a son of the late Williams F. and Catherine M. (McCoy) Truitt.

He worked for Packaging Corp. of America in Trexlertown. Howard was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ in Slatington where he served on the Consistory. The first Tuesday of every month he would serve at the Lehigh County Conference of Churches Soup Kitchen in Allentown and was involved in many more organizations. Howard enjoyed singing and performed with the group "Jack and Friends" around the area. He also loved riding motorcycles and unicycles.

Survivors: daughters; Kim J. and partner William Domitrovitsch of Allentown, Tracy A. wife of Zachary Boyer of Hamburg, brother, Williams F., Jr. of Alburtis, sister, Harriett Lambert of Germansville, grandchildren; Kayla Swartley and Kearra Boyer.

Services: 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 22 at Heidelberg U.C.C., 5187 Irvin Rd., Slatington, with the Rev. Karen Yonney officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. in the Church.
