James L. Diehl, of Allentown, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Whitehall Manor. He was the husband of the late R. Jean (Rossi) Diehl to whom he had been married for 59 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Catherine (Seifert) Moyer.
Jim attended Allentown High School. He later served his country in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division. Jim was employed by the UGI Corporation for 42 years as a line maintenance supervisor. He was a devoted husband and father and was happiest when surrounded by his family and his home. Jim enjoyed working on projects within his home and took great pride in both his family and home. He was a lifetime member of the Fullerton Fire Company. Jim enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his wife as well as Saturday night pinochle games.
Survivors: Daughters, Debra wife of Dennis Nero and Denise wife of Mark Zeleski; Grandson, Mychal Kistler and his partner Alyssia Breyer; Granddaughters, Ashley wife of Jaime Rivera and Jennifer Zeleski; Great-grandson, Jordan Rivera; and Brothers, George and Donald Moyer.
Memorial Service: 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 15, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com
