Jay L. Slaughenhoupt, 81 years, formerly of Lake Wallenpaupack, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at Cedarbrook in Allentown.  He was a son of the late Earl and Irene (Forsyth) Slaughenhoupt.

He was the store manager at the former Kmart in Allentown for 40 years. Jay honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors: children, Shane Slaughenhoupt (fiancée, Karen Smith) of Schnecksville and Sonya Millington (Justin) of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Devon Millington, Emerson and Bryce Slaughenhoupt; several nephews and 1 niece. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Earl and Don Slaughenhoupt.
