Jeffrey C. Peter, 70 years of New Tripoli passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the Lutheran Home in Topton. He was the husband of Catherine (Reinhard) Peter.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Elaine (Wehr) Peter of New Tripoli and the late Carl Peter. Jeff graduated from Northwestern Lehigh H.S. in 1971. He was a farmer for 27 years, worked in the mail room for the former Alpo Co., now Nestle-Purina in Allentown, and was a cook at the former Village Inn Restaurant. Jeff was a life member of the New Tripoli Fire Co. and volunteered at the Schnecksville Fire Co. He was a member of Jacobs Church in New Tripoli.

Survivors: wife, Cathy, mother, Elaine, son, Adam Peter of New Tripoli, stepchildren, Daryl Gordon (Melissa) of Lehighton, Freddie Strohl of New Tripoli, and Wendy Rooney (William) of Germansville; sister, Gail Pearsall (Scott) of New Tripoli, grandchildren, Makayla, Zakari, Benjamin, Olivia, and Evan; great grandchildren, Wynnie and Everly, and a niece, Rikki Savidge.

A Memorial Service will take place at 6 PM on Wednesday, August 9, at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
