John L. Franssen, 93 years, of Allentown, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  He was the husband of Janice L. (Long) Franssen for 35 years this month.  Born in Morristown, NJ he was a son of the late John and Gladys (Lyon) Franssen.

He was a graduate of Rider College in Lawrenceville, NJ.  John was a service manager for Simplex Time Recorder Co. in Allentown for 45 years.  He was a ham radio operator and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years.  John honorably served in the United States Navy during World War II.  He loved to play bridge.

Survivors : wife, Janice, children, Robert J. Franssen (Debra) of Millersville, John L. Franssen, Jr. (Margo) of Midlothian, VA, Donna M. Barnum (John) of Allentown; stepsons, Kevin D. Minnich (Tina) of Slatington, and Kurt C. Minnich of Kempton, brother, William G. Franssen (Virginia) of South Montrose, PA, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service: 12:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 19 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.  Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  Masks will be required.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
