Judith L.
"Judy" Trout
Apr 27, 1942 — Mar 24, 2024
Judith L. (Judy) Trout, 81 years of Breinigsville, formerly of New Tripoli, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital after a brief illness. Judy was born at her childhood home on 7th Street in Allentown, the youngest daughter of the late Willard and Elizabeth (Gruver) Frick. She was married to Richard E. Trout who passed away in 1999 and was the longtime companion of Robert T. Trout (Bob).
Judy attended William Allen High School. Later, she was a valued employee holding various positions in manufacturing working at the former Kempton Sportswear, Armstrong World Industries, Lehigh Cordage, and First Image, ultimately retiring from United Service Company. Anyone who knew Judy would agree she loved animals (in particular cardinals), collecting beer steins, Barbies, and antiques. But above all, Judy enjoyed a good meal and a little bling. She will be remembered for her smile, her wave, and 'the look'. She was hugely proud of her daughters Sherri and Chris, loved her sons-in-law David and Scott like her own, and cherished each of her grandsons. Judy was also fortunate enough to have found love not once, but twice in her life.
Survivors: Daughters, Sherri Schmoekel (David) of Garland, TX, and Christine Thompson (Scott) of Lititz, PA, sister, Mary Jane Heyer of Kutztown, loving companion, Bob Trout of Breinigsville, grandsons, Travis, Kyle, and Devin Schmoekel, Jared Thompson and great-grandson, Jean-Luc Burns. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was predeceased by her oldest sister, Nancy Zundel.
A Memorial service will take place on Monday, April 1, at 11 AM at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St, Fogelsville. The visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM. Interment, Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Allentown. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
