Karen A. Schultz, 84, of Macungie, died on Monday, August 31, 2026 in Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Twp. She was the widow of Earl D. Schultz, Sr. Born in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Ann (Blaczyk) Hertig. She was a member of Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, Macungie.

For over 20 years, she owned and operated Karen’s Ceramic Shop, where she was able to share her joy and creativity with others. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her many sacrifices and the love she poured into everyone around her.

Her faith was central to her life, and she was heavily involved in and deeply dedicated to her church. Karen treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. Later in life, following the passing of her beloved husband, she found new adventures enjoying concerts and traveling with close friends, embracing life with the same spirit she always had.

Surviving are four children: Earl Schultz, Jr. (Lori) of Goose Creek, SC; Carl Schultz (Carla) of Greenwood, SC; Matthew Schultz (Nancy) of Alexandria, VA and Dianna Schultz of Macungie; grandchildren: Davis, Ashton, Gilbert, Erin, Drew, Dominick and Delaney; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a child, Kristine Lynn Schultz, 2-11-1964.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, September 10 in Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2623 Brookside Road, Macungie. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 9 at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
