Kathleen Mae Kennedy, 94 of Kutztown, PA. passed away peacefully on January 15th at St. Joe's Medical Center, Reading, PA. after several months battling congestive heart failure.

She was born to the late Norman and Bessie (Haas) Hoffman, Nov 12, 1929, in Wescosville, PA and was a graduate of Emmaus High School.

She was the wife of the late Marvin C. Strohl Sr. of Fogelsville, PA. who passed away in 1976. They were married for 30 years.

'Kitty' is survived by three of her four children; Marvin C. Strohl Jr. of Andreas, PA and his companion Sandra Masters; Susan Campanelli and her husband Michael of Kutztown; and JoAnne Shafer and her husband Keith of Lake Ariel, PA. Predeceased by son Bruce (1960). She is also survived by one of her six brothers, Russell Hoffman, San Diego, CA; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her second husband of 25 years, Gene Kennedy of Nesquehoning, PA.

Kitty was an avid volunteer throughout her life: a member of Ziegel's Union church where she sang alto on the choir, served several years on consistory, and enjoyed being a Sunday and Bible School teacher and Youth Fellowship leader. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop leader and a 4-H leader for 20 years. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for over 20 years.
