Obituary

Keith Nielsen, 46 years of New Tripoli, went home with His Lord and Saviour on November 18, 2013. He was the husband of Carletta (Marrible) Nielsen. Born in Upper Darby, raised in New Tripoli, he was a son of Dale and Peggy Nielsen with whom he resided.

Keith attended Northwestern High School, graduating in 1985. He was on the championship track and field team and the wrestling team. Keith was very involved in local church activities and Word of Life Youth Group at Northern Valley Evangelical Church, where he attended.

He received an athletic scholarship in wrestling to Ithaca College, where his major was Recreational Therapy with Exercise Science. Keith interned at Harmanville Rehab Hospital working with traumatic brain injury patients. He graduated in 1989 and worked at Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in Florida.

He became a personal therapist to a brain injury patient in the Bahamas. After returning to the Lehigh Valley he was employed in numerous health clubs and transitioned into corporate fitness for AT&T and Lucent Technologies. Keith later went to work for SSI, where he was a dedicated and passionate sales and design consultant for advanced fire suppression systems.

Survivors: Parents, wife, son, Cody and daughter, Karina, brothers; Gary and wife Nancy, Glenn and wife Jean Ann, Gregg and wife Kim, and Kirk and fiancée Heather Marano, sister in law Sue Nielsen, two uncles, eleven nieces and nephews, one great niece.

Services: Memorial Service, 12 P.M., Friday, November 22, at Northern Valley Evangelical Free Church, 7343 Gun Club Rd., New Tripoli with the Rev. Steve Santos officiating. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in the Church. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., New Tripoli.
