Obituary

Kermit W. Boger, 76 years, of Germansville, passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the widower of Lillian J. (Kratzer) Boger. Born in Weisenberg Twp. he was a son of the late Willard F. and Mary I. (Gruber) Boger.

He was a custodian at Northwestern Lehigh School District for 19 years, retiring in 2001. Prior to that Kermit worked for the former Wolf Petrolium and the former Trojan Powder Co. He was a driver for the Northwestern Ambulance Corp., and helped in the kitchen for 19 years. Kermit was also a fire fighter for the Goodwill Fire Co. in Germansville. He was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church in New Tripoli. For many years, he was a stock car driver at the Dorney Park, Mahoning, and Nazareth Speedways and was a member of the East Penn Late Great Chevy Club. Kermit enjoyed butchering and loved going hunting and fishing with his grandchildren.

Survivors: Daughters, Betty M. wife of Reid Kent of Kempton and Bonnie J. Kline of Schnecksville, sisters, Eleanor M. wife of Robert "Gus" Daniels of Germansville and Marie E. husband of Richard Schaeffer of Lenhartsville, brother, Lee F. Boger, daughter in law, Lisa Boger of Germansville, grandchildren, Tamra McGee, Timothy and Alyssa Boger, Derick and Brandon Kline, and Sarah Kent, step grandchildren, Wendy Rodriguez, and Daryl Gordon, 2 great grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son David K. and brother, Earl.

Services: Graveside Service, 11:00 A.M, Saturday, January 7, at Weisenberg Lutheran Church Cemetery, 7645 Weisenberg Church Rd., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Raymond J. Hand officiating.
