Larry L. Kunkle, age 80, of Weisenberg Twp., died on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the loving husband of Audrey (Wagner) Kunkle for over 50 years. Born in Weisenberg Twp., he was a son of the late Harold and Verna (Snyder) Kunkle. Larry attended Fleetwood Bible Church and was active with the Operation Christmas Child Ministry. He was a veteran and retired as Master Sergeant after serving a total of 27 years with the National Guard and Army Reserve. Larry was a member of the Kempton Rod and Gun Club, Kutztown Gun Club, NRA, and very much enjoyed all things Pennsylvania Dutch—including Grundsow Lodges (banquets for men) and Fersommlings (banquets for men and women). Larry was a loving husband, father, and Pap to his grandsons. Larry was employed as a carpenter with Solt's Sawmill in Mertztown for 44 years, and was a farmer in Weisenberg Township all his life. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and life on the farm. He liked spending time with his family, especially with his two grandsons, Nolan and Nathan.
Survivors: with his wife; two sons: Troy L. Kunkle and his son Nolan of Seipstown and Todd S. and Holly (Laubach) Kunkle and their son Nathan of Weisenberg Twp.; and a brother, Dennis Kunkle (Eileen) of Weisenberg Twp. He was preceded in death by three siblings: Violet (Kunkle) Solt, Donald Kunkle and LeRoy Kunkle.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 18 in St. Michael's Church, 529 St. Michael's Rd., Hamburg, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Viewing times will be held on Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM in Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville; and 9:30-10:30 Saturday at the church. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc.
