LaRue V. Peiffer, 83 years, formerly of New Tripoli, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill. She was the widow of Claude A. Peiffer.  Born in New Tripoli, she was a daughter of the late Irwin L. and Carrie (Ziegler) Leibensperger. She was a sewing machine operator at various factories in the Lehigh Valley for 40 years, retiring in 1986.

Survivors: Daughter, Claudia D. wife of William Emery, Sr. of Macungie, sisters: Alice K. Pennepacker of Kutztown, Nancy Schlegel of New Tripoli, grandson, Chris, step-grandson, William, Jr., step-great granddaughters: Alexis and Arielle.
