Loraine M. (Gross) Weiss, 69, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of George M. Weiss, Jr. for 43 years this past February. Born in Allentown, and raised in Germansville, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Mary (Wanamaker) Gross.
She was a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli. Loraine was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown, where she attended Bible studies and she was a former member of East Hills Moravian Church, Bethlehem, where she sang on the choir and helped in the church nursery. Her faith in God was important to her and she prayed for everyone she knew. She was last employed by Atria Assisted Living of Bethlehem, and formerly employed at Bell Telephone and for the former Acme Markets. Loraine loved country music; her son Jason's two dogs, Duke and Titan; swimming; and vacations on Long Beach Island, NJ. Loraine also loved attending concerts and summer carnivals, basket raffles, penny parties, and discussing family history. She loved talking to everyone she met.
Survivors : She is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Candace; sons, Brandon and Jason, all of Bethlehem; brother Joel Gross and wife, Charlotte, of Bethlehem; brother, Dean Gross and wife, Lisa, of New Tripoli; nieces and nephews, two great-nieces; and many beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Services: 11:00 A.M., Thursday, March 30 at Christ's Church at Lowhill, 4695 Lowhill Church Rd., New Tripoli. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 29 at Keller Funeral Homes, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville and on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the Church. Interment will follow the service in Lowhill Cemetery. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com .
