Obituary

Mae B. Hostetter, 68 years, of Fogelsville, passed away Tuesday, February 09, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit. She was the loving wife of B. Dale Hostetter for 34 years last July. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Mildred (Strohl) Bleiler.

She graduated from Parkland High School in 1965 and Mansfield University in 1969. Mae went on to receive her Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1976 and worked for Penn State University Cooperative Extension in 4-H for 25 years. She also was involved in the International 4-H Youth Exchange and spent 6 months in Argentina in 1969. After Mae retired she worked part time for Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County and received the Lehigh County Unsung Hero Award in 2011. She was an active member of Ziegels United Church of Christ in Breinigsville, where she also sang on the choir.

Survivors: husband, sisters, Lorraine Bleiler of Owego, NY and Valerie E. wife of Donald Cunningham of Bonita Springs, FL.

Services: Memorial Service: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 20 at Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Rd., Breinigsville with the Rev. Candi Cain-Borgman officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, February 19 in the Church and Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., Fogelsville.
