Marie D.
Fritzinger
Jan 31, 1923 — Apr 5, 2014
On April 5, 2014, Marie Fritzinger was reunited in Heaven with the love of her life, Earl Fritzinger. He has been patiently waiting for her since February 5, 2010, and they are both safely home now, in the loving arms of Jesus. Marie grew up on her family's farm in Weisenberg Township. Marie's parents were the late John and Daisy (Heintzelman) Bausch. Her father passed when she was 9 years old. Therefore, Marie helped her older brother with the chores on the farm. This included milking and feeding cows and calves and planting and harvesting crops. Marie attended and graduated from the Bausch's one room school house. In addition, she received her teaching certificate. At the Weisenberg Church picnic, a handsome young man, Earl Fritzinger, took a special interest in Marie. He began to court her, and on December 25, 1944 the two were married at Ziegels Church. Earl and Marie were happily married for 65 years. Marie held many jobs during her lifetime. Some of these included working at a shoe factory, cleaning at the hospital, and also cleaning at the Schaeffer Brewery Company. But the responsibilities that she enjoyed the most were being a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a great grandmother. She was so proud of her family. She loved all of them so much, and she often sacrificed so that they could have a better life. Marie was an avid gardener, and she would take her excess crops on a huckster route in Allentown. People loved her fresh vegetables and fruits. In addition, Marie was a passionate caretaker for many wild birds. She would ensure that her feeder was full of food throughout the year. Through her kitchen window, you could enjoy a variety of birds, such as blue jays, cardinals, robins, sparrows, finches, blue birds, and doves. Marie was a lifetime member of St. Peters Church in Lynnville, PA. She was a kind, caring, compassionate, person, always thinking of others first. She was loved and she will be missed, by her family and friends.
