Obituary

Martin P. Gusick, 84 years, formerly of Slatington, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the EverTrue Lutheran Home at Topton surrounded by loved ones. He was the husband of the late Phyllis (Howell) Gusick for 57 years. Born in Slatington, he was a son of the late Martin and Mildred (Andrews) Gusick.

He was a graduate of the Slatington High School Class of 1959. After high school, Martin honorably served as a flight engineer with the US Navy. He worked as a lineman with PP&L for over 35 years. Martin was a member of The American Legion Post 16 for 45 years.

Martin was an avid outdoorsman, belonging to the local rod and gun clubs for most of his life. He also really enjoyed a great meal and was a big sports fan. Occasionally, he and Phyllis would enjoy vacation trips to the casinos. The time he spent with family and friends over the years meant the most. Survivors: sons, Richard Gusick (Kristin) of West Chester and Thomas Gusick (Holly) of Fogelsville, grandchildren, Anika, Martin, Henry, and Emma. He was preceded in death by 2 siblings, David Gusick and Patricia Tretter.

A Memorial Service will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM.  Private interment. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
