Melba E. Wilson, 92, most recently of New Tripoli, passed away June 16, 2013 at Fellowship Manor. She was the widow of Douglas B. Wilson. Born in St. Louis County, MO, she was a daughter of the late E. Oscar and Clara (Dieckmann) Rosenkoetter. She left home to work as a nanny in order to attend both high school and business school. While working as a secretary during WWII, she met Doug at a USO breakfast. They married after the war and raised their family in Weston, CT and Lynnville, PA. She loved needlework, reading, and children. She volunteered often (4H, Scouts, Red Cross), was a great listener, and had a wonderful smile.
Survivors: Son, Christopher D. and wife Donna of New Tripoli; daughters, Beverly M. wife of Henry Weaver of New Tripoli and Deborah A. Wilson wife of Alan Yen of Coopersburg; sisters, Evelyn Seavert and Mary Anne Tillman of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Amanda Gruber, Megan Wilson, Alta and Rita Yen, seven great-grandchildren, niece and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister.
