Melvin Earl Foster, turning 80 on the 29th of December, passed suddenly Monday the 9th of December around 6 am. Born & raised in Laurel, Maryland, Earl worked for General Services Administration in the Washington, D.C. Labor Department and also Capitol Centre, Landover, MD in the early 1970's where he enjoyed many rock concerts.

In 1981, Earl moved his young family to New Tripoli and began a new life chapter. He joined Schuler Service of Allentown and eventually began working for Muhlenberg College maintenance department.

He's the best dad in the world to Tracy L. Richards & Lisa M. Foster, as well as being the best Pap ever to Trinity J. Deppen, Jack Owen Davis, Ryan D. Richards, David E. Richards & Savannah A. LaBar.  Brett Stelcik, a son from a former marriage resides in California.

Although Earl retired from his public work life many years ago, he continued doing plumbing and maintenance as a part time job. He could always be counted on to help anyone in need and always with a smile.

Earl is survived by sister, Alice Rose & two brothers, Lawrence & Robert along with numerous nieces and nephews.  He is predeceased by two brothers Stuart Lee & William John.

He was excited to learn recently that his first great grandchild is arriving come April. Earl will be missed by all.
